can you make a machine think and move?
Robotics Engineer | Hyderabad, India | Full-Time | 2+ yrs exp
Who we are We build dark factories: fully autonomous, zero-defect production systems for electronics & semiconductor manufacturing. Based in Hyderabad, obsessed with tolerances, not corporate fluff.
The gig Take robotic automation from concept to commissioning — architecture, program, tooling, integration, and the reliability that keeps it alive on a 24/7 line. Sits across mechanical, electrical and software, and it's where AI perception gets into machines that used to run fixed sequences.
What you’ll do Pick the architecture — SCARA, 6-axis, delta, Cartesian, cobot or AMR — against payload, reach, accuracy and cycle time · layouts, reach studies, takt time · program & commission Epson, FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa or KUKA · robot software in ROS 2, Python & C++ next to the vendor language · tune motion, homing, recovery and restart so the line comes back on its own · bring perception in — pose estimation, grasping, RGBD & LiDAR · own hand-eye and robot-to-machine transforms · sim it before metal is cut · design EOAT — grippers, vacuum, compliant tooling · tie into PLC state machines, safety & fieldbus · validate repeatability and long-run reliability on the floor.
Must haves Bachelor's/Master's in Robotics, Mechatronics, EE or Automation · 3+ yrs on industrial robots · hands-on programming & commissioning of at least one major platform — Epson, FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA · kinematics, frames, TCP, calibration & motion planning · ROS 2, Python and C++ · perception for manipulation — pose estimation or grasping · RGBD/LiDAR in the loop · pick-place, assembly, dispensing or fastening · cycle time, reach, payload & repeatability targets · robots wired into PLCs, vision, conveyors & I/O · EOAT & part-present sensing · EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP · machine safety: interlocks, E-stops, guarding · live-line troubleshooting.
Nice to haves Isaac Sim, Gazebo or MuJoCo, synthetic data and sim-to-real · AI in production on real robots — versioning, monitoring, failure modes · AMR/AGV and mobile manipulators, navigation & docking · UR cobots · MoveIt and trajectory optimisation · high-speed SCARA or delta for electronics assembly · force/compliance control and precision insertion · PLC on Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff or Omron · robot safety standards and risk assessment · OEE, UPH, take time.
tl;dr Multi-station machines, not standalone cells. If you can teach a robot the sequence, let it see, and get it back up at 3am without a human, we should talk.
